Καλως Ορισατε!
See You Next Year
Greetings, from Parish Council President

The Greek Orthodox Church of Greater Salt Lake is delighted to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Salt Lake Greek Festival. This annual event gives us the opportunity to share our deep rooted culture with the great people of Salt Lake City. The annual Salt Lake Greek Festival has evolved from its humble beginnings as a bazaar in the basement of the Church showcasing handcrafted items into one of the country's finest Greek festivals.

All of this would not be possible without the labor of love put in by a large number of volunteers who spend countless hours preparing for the festival and putting on the three day event. Equally important are our loyal sponsors who support us each year, some of whom have been with us for the entire 40 years!

We invite you to join us in experiencing our Greek heritage by taking a tour of Holy Trinity Cathedral, visiting the Hellenic Cultural Museum and of course enjoying a wide variety of food and drink while being entertained with Greek music and dance performances. OPA!

With Sincere Appreciation,

Alicia Kastanis Mares
2015 Parish Council President

Welcome, from Father Matthew

I am deeply honored to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to all visitors attending the ANNUAL GREEK FESTIVAL hosted by the GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH OF GREATER SALT LAKE. For nearly four decades hosting the Greek Festival, our parish faithful have continued to preserve the cherished traditions of our magnificent Greek heritage so that the vibrant spirit of our culture could be shared with you—the wonderful people of Salt Lake City and beyond.

Since its founding in Salt Lake City in 1905, clergy and parishioners of the Greek Orthodox Church of Greater Salt Lake have been dedicated to preserving the Greek Orthodox tradition and culture here. The descendants of the early immigrants continue to advance these core beliefs and traditions through their unwavering service, generosity, and untiring dedication to this great parish and city!

It is indeed a privilege to share with you the strong roots of our heritage beautifully displayed throughout our three-day Greek Festival celebration.

With Sincere Appreciation,
Fr. Matthew Gilbert, Senior Priest
